Every rule names its source. The plan checker has the last word.
# Los Angeles code triage
Thirty-two rules, each tied to the Los Angeles bulletin or code section it comes from and marked by how it was fetched. Enter the project and the page returns the permit path, who must sign, and what to confirm with plan check before a number reaches a client. Inca masons fitted each stone to its neighbors with no mortar to forgive a bad cut; this page fits each element to its rule the same way, one fact at a time.
01 Project
## Enter the project
02 Report
## What the rules say
Add the elements of the project and run triage. The report names the rules that apply, the permit path, what needs a California engineer or architect, what needs a licensed subcontractor, and what to confirm with LADBS plan check.
03 Drawing set
## Existing-conditions drawing set
Send the scan, the address and the one dimension you know. You receive a cleaned raster, a DXF with every wall traced and every callout flagged for a drafter, and a reconciliation report that shows what was measured and what was read. An architect of record field-verifies and stamps before anything is filed.
The full protocol, what comes back and the permission note are on [the drawing-set sheet](https://contractoros.tech/tools/drawing-set).
Confirm with LADBS plan check before quoting.
